Thank you for all the prayers and good thoughts for me and my mother. She is in ICU and has been for four days. She is strong, but the dementia has her trapped mentally. Her surgery was successful, but airway the size of pin hole. She coded last week, ICU sedated, propofol, on ventilator. She will make it!!!

Early sexual abuse increases heart risks-You've got to see this!

CHICAGO (Reuters) - Women who were repeatedly sexually abused as girls have a 62 percent higher risk of heart problems later in life compared with women who were not abused, U.S. researchers said on Sunday.

The findings, presented at the American Heart Association meeting in Orlando, Florida, underscored the lasting physical effects of early sexual abuse.

Much of the increased risk was related to coping strategies among abuse survivors such as overeating, alcohol use and smoking.

Prayers for my mother . . . PLEASE

Prayer is powerful.  In Michigan today my mother had surgery.  She is now in ICU.  She had gall bladder surgery at a very delicate age of 86.  It had to be done.  She had many gall stones in the bladder, cannot survive without surgery.  Surgery went well until two hours later and she coded.  She is on watch tonight. Please pray for my mother.  My sisters and I need strength.  My brothers are handling it a lot better than we are.  Thank you to all of you for praying and sending well wishes.  You are wonderful!
